The right to dignity and safety
When families face harassment, intimidation or separation, we record what happened, stand beside them, and bring their stories to the people with the power to act.
Human rights work →United Americans for Democracy
We are Americans standing up for the human, civic and religious rights of ethnic Turkic people and their families. When those rights are threatened, we document it, we speak up, we stand up against it as a community, and we make sure no family faces it alone.

“Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving — it doesn’t matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again, come.”
That is the spirit of UAD. We are a non-political, non-partisan organization. Whoever you are, whatever you believe, wherever you come from — it does not matter to us. We care about you.
The rights we defend
When families face harassment, intimidation or separation, we record what happened, stand beside them, and bring their stories to the people with the power to act.
Human rights work →We help families understand their rights, take part in community life, and stand up to discrimination at work, at school and in public services.
Civic rights work →We defend every family's freedom to pray, to gather, and to pass their faith, language and traditions on to their children.
Religious freedom work →Who we are
Turkic families from many countries, traditions and generations — standing together, and standing with every neighbor who believes in fairness.
This is our home. We work peacefully, through America’s laws, institutions and free press — the tools our country gives everyone. We take no side in politics; we are on the side of people.
Rights belong to everyone or they are safe for no one. Protecting one community's freedoms protects all of ours.
Our tulip says it in one picture: American stripes and stars, and sixteen eight-pointed stars for a heritage that spans a thousand years — one flower, rooted in two homes. United Americans for Democracy was founded by [founders and year] and is led by [leadership].
How we help
By form, phone or email, in English or Turkish. Your story stays private, and you decide what to share.
A real person follows up within [RESPONSE TIME] — not a form letter — to understand what you and your family need.
To attorneys, interpreters, community groups and resources that fit your situation.
With your permission, we document what happened and advocate for fairness — so the next family is safer.
If you or someone you love is facing discrimination, harassment or a threat to your rights, tell us. We will listen, in confidence. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Every dollar goes to the work: answering calls, finding attorneys and interpreters, documenting abuses, and teaching families their rights before they need them.
Monthly gifts are the most powerful of all. They let us plan ahead — and promise the next family that someone will be there.
News and reports
Attorneys, translators, organizers, students, neighbors: whatever you're good at, a family out there needs it. An hour from you can be the turning point for someone else.
